That’s why we’ve joined forces with Tree-Nation, a global reforestation initiative that is restoring ecosystems and fighting climate change one tree at a time.
Who is Tree-Nation?
Tree-Nation is a non-profit platform with a simple but powerful mission:
Plant trees worldwide in reforestation projects that restore habitats, absorb CO₂, and support local communities.
Since 2006, Tree-Nation has planted over 30 million trees across 70+ reforestation projects, from Africa to South America to Asia. Every project is carefully vetted for its social and environmental impact — from protecting endangered species in Madagascar to restoring degraded farmland in Tanzania.
And it’s not just planting. Tree-Nation ensures full traceability and transparency:
Every tree is geolocated and tagged.
You can see exactly where and what species has been planted.
Independent reporting confirms the impact.
This matters because you, like ourselves, don’t just take claims at face value. Tree-Nation shows the receipts.
The De Vere Diamonds Forest
De Vere Diamonds now has its own dedicated forest within Tree-Nation. For every piece of jewellery purchased, we plant trees — creating a growing, living legacy alongside your diamond.
Each tree contributes to offsetting CO₂.
Each tree restores natural ecosystems.
Each tree supports local communities with jobs and resources.
You can even visit our forest online and see the progress for yourself. No greenwashing. No vague promises. Just real trees, in real soil, making a measurable difference.
Giving Back to Canada
One of the Tree-Nation projects we’re especially proud to support is the Boreal Forest Habitat restoration in Manitoba, Canada. This area has been devastated by wildfires, destroying vital ecosystems and threatening the livelihoods of those who live there.
Through Tree-Nation, we are helping to replant native tree species in collaboration with local Indigenous communities, ensuring that the forest grows back stronger and with deep respect for traditional knowledge and stewardship.
Canada is a source of our diamonds, and for us, this project is about giving something back — even if only a small gesture — to a land that has given so much.
Beyond Trees: Restoring Land, Restoring Futures
While reforestation is critical, we also know that many diamond-producing regions face a different challenge: what happens when mines are worked out and the land is left scarred and unusable?
That’s why, although not directly linked to Tree-Nation, De Vere Diamonds is also working with initiatives like GemFair and Diamonds for Peace to:
Restore former mining sites into fertile, usable agricultural land.
Support local communities with farming opportunities that provide food and income.
Create long-term sustainability, so once the diamonds are gone, the land continues to give back.
This work is quieter and behind the scenes, but we believe it’s vital — because real responsibility means leaving communities better off, not worse.

The diamond industry has a duty to do more than just reduce harm — we want to actively do good. Planting trees and restoring land aren’t silver bullets, but they are clear, science-backed ways to:
