Private Client by De Vere Diamonds is designed for significant natural diamonds, important collections and complex commissions requiring a greater level of sourcing, documentation, discretion and long-term stewardship.
Private Client engagements are accepted selectively and begin with a confidential conversation.

Every De Vere Diamonds client receives personal guidance, documented provenance and a diamond chosen specifically for them.
Private Client goes further.
It is intended for clients seeking significant or unusual natural diamonds, major bespoke commissions, high jewellery, multi-diamond pieces, or a continuing record for important diamonds held within a family or collection.

Private Client sourcing can extend to natural diamonds distinguished by unusual size, colour, clarity, provenance, scarcity or other important characteristics.
We begin by understanding what you are looking for and why.
We then search through our international network for diamonds that meet those criteria and De Vere Diamonds’ standards for origin, documentation and responsible sourcing.
A considered selection is presented privately.
Each diamond is assessed on its own merits and accompanied by the documentation available to establish what it is, where it came from and the journey it has taken.
No endless catalogue.
No pressure to choose.

Who has handled it?
What documentation supports it?

For Private Client, rarity never replaces responsibility.
We apply the same principles that underpin every De Vere Diamond: natural origin, independent grading, responsible sourcing, documented provenance and verification.
Where a diamond carries an existing history, previous ownership, exhibition, publication or other relevant provenance, that history can form part of its continuing record.
Because rarity may make a diamond desirable.
Knowing its story makes it understandable.
THE COLLECTOR VAULT™
THE CONTINUING RECORD OF A SIGNIFICANT DIAMOND.
Every De Vere Diamond has a Legacy Vault™.
For significant diamonds, that record can be extended through the Collector Vault™ to preserve not only the diamond’s provenance and personal story, but its continuing history as an important family or collection asset.
Depending on the diamond, its record may include:
Grading reports and certification
Origin and traceability records
Provenance and chain-of-custody documentation
Acquisition records
Independent valuations
Ownership chronology
Exhibition, publication or press history
Previous and current settings
Design and craftsmanship records
Insurance documentation
Relevant records or instructions supplied by the client or their professional advisers for succession and estate planning
When the diamond changes setting, the record remains.

Private Client can provide continuing stewardship of that record.
Where appropriate, and with the client’s authority, we can also work discreetly alongside existing professional advisers, including solicitors, insurers, valuers, family offices and wealth advisers.

We help ensure the diamond, its provenance and the records entrusted to us remain properly documented as its story continues.

As with every De Vere commission, the process begins with the diamond.
The design follows.
Concepts are developed around the proportions, character and purpose of the stones themselves, then refined through sketches, technical design and approval before craftsmanship begins.
The jewellery may change one day.
The diamond remains.

01 – CONFIDENTIAL CONSULTATION
We begin privately.
We learn what you are looking for, why you are looking for it and whether there are particular requirements around provenance, timescale, confidentiality or future stewardship.
02 – PRIVATE SEARCH
We search for natural diamonds that meet the agreed criteria.
For unusual or significant stones, this may involve a wider international search through specialist sources.
03 – DUE DILIGENCE AND PROVENANCE
Potential diamonds are examined against our sourcing and documentation requirements.
We establish what can be independently verified before presenting them to you.
04 – PRIVATE PRESENTATION
A carefully selected shortlist is presented with the relevant grading, origin, provenance and traceability information.
We explain what distinguishes each diamond.
The decision remains yours.
05 – AQUISITION
Once a diamond is chosen, the acquisition, documentation and ownership records are confirmed.
06 – THE COLLECTOR VAULT™
The diamond’s continuing record is established, bringing its documentation and history together in one private place.
07 – DESIGN, IF REQUIRED
The diamond does not have to be set.
If you would like it to become part of a bespoke piece, the design is created around the diamond and developed with you.
08 – ONGOING STEWARDSHIP
The relationship can continue long after acquisition.
Future valuations, settings, significant records and eventual stewardship transfers can be added as the diamond’s story develops.
DISCRETION WITHOUT THE THEATRE
Privacy is not an added luxury.
For many Private Client relationships, it is simply expected.
Enquiries and commissions are handled discreetly. Details are shared only where necessary to provide the service, and non-disclosure arrangements can be put in place where appropriate.
We do not publicise a Private Client commission without the client’s permission.
Your diamond may have a remarkable story.
