For a pendant featuring one principal diamond, we begin by finding that diamond for you.
We present three to five carefully selected natural diamonds, accompanied by their grading, origin and provenance information.
You can compare their appearance, proportions and price, with guidance to help you understand the differences.
You choose the diamond.
Then we design the pendant around it.
For necklaces containing multiple diamonds, we take a different approach.
We consider the piece as a whole, selecting diamonds for their individual characteristics and how beautifully they work together.
Whether your commission contains one diamond or many, the design is developed around the stones chosen for it.

THE SETTING
The setting should enhance the diamonds while supporting their security and the way the piece will be worn.
Claw settings can create an open, delicate appearance.
Rubover or bezel settings surround the diamond with precious metal, giving it a smooth, defined outline.
More elaborate necklaces may incorporate several setting techniques.

Every diamond used by De Vere Diamonds is natural.
For pendants featuring a significant principal diamond, we select stones independently graded by GIA and accompanied by documented origin and provenance.
For necklaces containing multiple smaller diamonds, the stones are selected and documented according to their characteristics and the sourcing information available.
The complete commission brings together the relevant diamond records, design details and craftsmanship information.
Because knowing the story behind a diamond matters just as much when it is worn close to the heart.
THE STORY GOES WITH IT
THE LEGACY VAULT™
Every De Vere Diamonds necklace or pendant has its own Legacy Vault™.
For a pendant created around a principal De Vere Diamond, the Vault is connected to that diamond.
If the diamond is ever reset into another piece of jewellery, its documented history can continue with it.
For a line necklace or a piece containing numerous diamonds, the Vault is associated with the commission as a whole.
It can preserve the relevant diamond provenance, design records and craftsmanship details, alongside the memories you choose to add.

A DIAMOND FOR THE BEGINNING OF A LIFE
First Dawn™ begins with a natural diamond chosen to mark the birth of a child.
Presented unset, with its own Legacy Vault™, it can be kept safely for the future or commissioned into a piece of jewellery.
Some families may choose to have the diamond set into a pendant, worn by a parent or grandparent before being passed to the child later in life.
Others may prefer to leave it unset until the child is old enough to decide how it should be worn.
The diamond remains the constant.
The story grows with the child.
