THE DIAMONDS COME FIRST
Even the most imaginative design depends on choosing the right diamonds.
For a commission featuring one significant principal diamond, we begin by finding that stone for you.
We present three to five carefully selected natural diamonds, accompanied by their grading, origin and provenance information.
You can compare their appearance, proportions and price before deciding.
For a design involving several diamonds, we select the stones according to their individual characteristics and how they will work together.
Then we develop the jewellery around them.
The diamonds are not simply added to a finished design.
They help shape it.

We source carefully selected natural diamonds suited to your commission.
Where there is a principal diamond, you can compare a small selection before choosing.
For more complex designs, we consider the diamonds together.
03 – WE DEVELOP THE DESIGN
Your idea begins to take shape through design discussions, sketches and, where appropriate, detailed digital models.
We refine the proportions, settings, precious metals and other details with you.
You’ll have the opportunity to review and approve the agreed design before production begins.
04 – YOUR JEWELLERY IS CREATED
Once the design and specifications are agreed, specialist craftspeople bring the piece to life.
The finished jewellery is checked against the commission requirements and hallmarked where applicable.
05 – THE STORY CONTINUES
Your jewellery is presented with its relevant documentation and access to The Legacy Vault™.
And we’re here to advise on appropriate care, maintenance and future alterations.
NO DOUBT ABOUT THE DIAMONDS
Every diamond used by De Vere Diamonds is natural.
For commissions featuring significant principal diamonds, we select stones independently graded by GIA and accompanied by documented origin and provenance.
For more elaborate designs containing multiple smaller diamonds, the stones are selected and documented according to their characteristics and the sourcing information available.
The complete commission brings together the relevant diamond records, design details and craftsmanship information.
Because a unique design should still come with clarity about what has gone into it.

THE LEGACY VAULT™
Sometimes the most important part of a bespoke commission is something that cannot be seen.
The reason it was created.

The message behind a particular detail.
The Legacy Vault™ gives that story somewhere to remain.
For jewellery featuring a principal De Vere Diamond, the Vault can remain connected to that diamond throughout its life.
For pieces containing several smaller diamonds, the Vault can be associated with the complete commission.
Alongside the relevant provenance and design records, you can add photographs, letters, voice recordings and other personal memories.
So that years from now, someone receiving the jewellery can understand not only what it is, but why it exists.
