This page sets out exactly what we promise, how we check it, and how you can check it yourself.
WHAT WE PROMISE
Natural diamonds only. Every De Vere Diamonds natural diamond formed in the earth. We never sell laboratory-grown diamonds under the De Vere Diamonds name.
Nothing from conflict. No diamond that could have paid for war or harmed the people who found it.
Nothing from Russia. We never buy, sell or handle Russian diamonds, in line with UK, EU, US and G7 sanctions.
Nothing we can’t trace. If a supplier can’t prove where a diamond came from, we don’t buy it.
HOW WE MAKE SURE
We check our suppliers before we work with them. Every supplier goes through identity and anti-money-laundering checks before we buy a single stone.
They sign up to our standards. Every supplier agrees to our Supply Chain Code of Conduct, which covers how workers are treated, how they’re paid, and how the land and local communities are protected.
We go further than the minimum. Every rough diamond is certified under the Kimberley Process, the international scheme that keeps conflict diamonds out of the market. But the Kimberley Process has its limits, so we also hold suppliers to the OECD’s international guidance on responsible sourcing.
We keep checking. We review our suppliers regularly, and we end the relationship if they fall short.
We keep the paperwork. For every diamond, we keep its invoices, origin documents and supplier checks. They’re ready for independent review at any time.
BEYOND THE DIAMOND
We favour suppliers who invest in the places diamonds come from, through schools, healthcare and returning mined land to nature.
We plant trees through Tree-Nation to offset our own carbon footprint.
The data centre that hosts our website uses 100% renewable energy.
We publish a Modern Slavery Statement every year. The law doesn’t require it of a business our size, but we think you should be able to read it.

Your diamond comes with its GIA grading report, its Diamond Origin Report and a laser inscription that matches the two. Its full record is kept in its Legacy Vault™.
