A diamond is a promise. A promise deserves proof.
Every De Vere Diamonds natural diamond comes with independent proof of what it is and where it came from. That proof is not our word. It comes from someone with nothing to gain.
ITS PASSPORT
Each diamond is graded by the GIA, the world’s most trusted independent diamond laboratory. Its report records the four things that shape how a diamond looks:
Cut. How well it has been shaped to catch the light. This is what brings it to life.
Colour. How white it appears.
Clarity. The tiny natural marks inside, most invisible to the eye. They are its fingerprints.
Carat. Its weight, not its size.
You don’t need to remember any of this. We’ll talk you through it with the diamonds in front of you.
WHERE IT BEGAN
Alongside its grading, its GIA Diamond Origin Report identifies the country of origin of the rough diamond from which it was polished.
So you know the country your diamond came from, not simply where it was bought or polished.
A MARK ONLY IT CARRIES
A number finer than a hair is inscribed on the girdle, the outer edge, of your diamond.. It can’t be seen with the eye, but under magnification it matches the diamond to its report.
So you can always verify that it is the same diamond: after a clean, after a resize, or fifty years from now.
WHY IT MATTERS
One day, someone will ask where it came from. Perhaps on the night you propose. Perhaps on the day you hand it on.
You’ll have the answer, in writing.
KEPT, NOT LOST IN A DRAWER
Your diamond’s report and origin are held in its Legacy Vault™ from the day you choose it. They stay with the diamond, whatever it becomes and whoever it belongs to next.
