STARTING
DO I NEED TO KNOW EXACTLY WHAT I WANT?
Not at all. Some people bring a detailed sketch. Others bring a single photograph, or just the moment they want to mark. Every one of those is a good place to start.
WHAT CAN YOU DESIGN?
Rings, pendants, necklaces, earrings, bracelets, or something entirely your own. If it can be made beautifully and made to last, we’ll make it.
HOW DO I BEGIN?
Tell us a little about your idea, by WhatsApp, email or the short form on our Custom Designs page. We’ll arrange a relaxed consultation, by video call.
CAN I DO IT REMOTELY?
Yes. Consultations, diamond viewings and design approvals all work by video, wherever you are in the world.
THE DIAMOND
WHERE DOES THE DESIGN START?
With the diamond. We find three to five exceptional natural diamonds suited to your idea and your budget, and show you each one on film, side by side. Once you’ve chosen, we design around it, so the setting fits your diamond rather than the other way round.
CAN I CHOOSE WHERE MY DIAMONDS COME FROM?
Yes. If a country matters to you, such as Botswana, Canada or Namibia, we’ll find a diamond from there, and its GIA Diamond Origin Report will confirm it.
ARE YOUR DIAMONDS CERTIFIED AND TRACEABLE?
Always. Every diamond is graded by the GIA and traced from its origin.
THE DESIGN
WILL I SEE IT BEFORE IT’S MADE?
Yes. Your idea becomes sketches, then a detailed 3D design. You can change anything and approve everything. Nothing is made until it’s exactly right.
CAN YOU MAKE MATCHING PIECES?
Yes. Earrings to go with a pendant, a band to sit beside a ring, or a set built up over the years. We’ll design each piece to sit beautifully with the others.
WHO MAKES IT?
Master craftsmen and women at our RJC-certified workshop partners, by hand, one piece at a time. Every piece is independently hallmarked in the UK.
TIME AND COST
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
Usually 4 to 8 weeks from approving your design, depending on its complexity. If there’s a date that matters, tell us at the start and we’ll plan around it.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Custom commissions start from £3,500. The final price depends on the diamond, the metal and the design. We’ll agree your budget at the start, and you’ll know the full price in writing before anything is made.
HOW DO I PAY?
A 50% deposit secures your diamond and begins the work.
AFTERWARDS
WHAT HAPPENS IF I WANT TO CHANGE IT ONE DAY?
We’ll be here. If your diamond is ever reset or remodelled, its Legacy Vault™ goes with it. We recommend any future work is done through us, so its story continues unbroken.
HOW DO I LOOK AFTER IT?
Treat it gently, insure it, and return it to us for a professional clean and check every year.
